After ascertaining provenance, each and every historic document or vintage autograph we offer is methodically examined and reviewed by our expert in-house authenticators as well as third-party experts to ensure a consensus of authenticity by checking consistency with known authentic exemplars. State-of-the-art authentication tools such as the Video Spectral Comparator (VSC) are employed to reinforce the expert's findings using sophisticated magnification, infrared imaging, coaxial lighting and side-by-side autograph comparisons. In doing so, the VSC can detect erasures, reveal masked and obliterated signatures, differences in ink types, and several other signs common in autograph forgeries which cannot be detected by the naked eye.
